The First Female Graduates

While the Class of 1973 carries a banner which claims "Coeducation Begins," truth be told, a short list of incredibly intelligent women transferred into the Class of 1970 when the decision to admit women was official. All had been present on campus during the 1968-69 academic year under the auspices of the Critical Language Program, and thus achieved the necessary two years on campus to qualify for a Princeton degree. These pioneers were:

Dr. Susan Craig Scott
Judith Corrente
Sue Jean Lee Suettenger
Lynn Nagasko
May Wong Miller
Mary Peggy Yee
Sue Pyne
Agneta Riber
Melanie Pytlowany
Priscilla Read
